ABOUT ME

MY
design style

i design by prioritising a human-focussed approach, incorporating historical, social, and cultural values into sport, music and film projects.

Education

I graduated from the University of Reading in 2024 with a First in BA Graphic Communication. As a Reading student, I have a lasting and extensive knowledge of typography instilled within my design.

Across this course, I developed a preference for hands-on designing. My process begins with widespread research, investigating and understanding the contexts of the project on a detailed level. From here, I put pencil to paper. My ideas come to fruition through drawing, paintings and even relief printings before they are developed digitally. This process means that I have full authority in the generation of my work, and I absolutely avoid the use of ai in my process.

My BA dissertation reflects my analytical approach, and is still a piece of work I am immensely proud of. If you are interested in reading my dissertation – ‘Audience targeting in car advertisements: A visual analysis of Ferrari and Fiat motor advertisements between 1978–1999.’ you can read it here.

Experience

I am currently a Junior Designer at Black Sun Global, part of the Positive Change Group (PCG). My day-to-day work focusses on stakeholder engagement and corporate reporting in collaboration with the wider teams in the business. My responsibilities run through from conceptual ideation, to creative approaches, design execution and print specifications.

Outside of design work, I am an avid sport and music fan. I love live music, live sports and live comedy; being in the presence of fans alike and I’m always prepared for a spontaneous festival.

I’m also a huge animal lover: big, small, cute and creepy, I really value spending time with animals & I currently have four guinea pigs.

I was born and raised down in Devon and have spent lots of time with family on the Australian Sunshine Coast, so I feel my most at home on the beach.

I love cars and love to drive! I even selected my dissertation subject to focus on cars, which made the research process super enjoyable.

I am passionate about my community, and do my best to volunteer through my design work when I can. No one is equal until we all are, and I strive to help struggling communities through my expertise.

I get very serious about my Letterboxd reviews, and often use it as a source for design inspiration too!
